The banana has a multitude of identities: social, political, erotic, humorous, nostalgic. It has a presence, a smell, a feel and a very specific visual identity; with which i decided to play, deconstruct, reconstruct, alter, transform, preserve and document. One object leads to a new one; either by the process of aging and preservation, or with textile processes, in this case: beading. The act of preservation takes on multiple meanings. I can preserve one aspect or more, through physical or digital processes. In each case a new  identity as been created from the original object.
