Counting the peas is an installation created in response to the archives of Le Mile End s’articule festival and various community outreach projects held at/or in collaboration with Articule. It stems from my interest in creating a project that reflects the importance of meeting in shared spaces, reclaiming them as our own and blurring the lines between public and private spaces.

In response, this work centers itself around the kitchen as a communal space of knowledge, resilience and compassion; a space to experiment, to be messy and where labor and process are apparent, The installation Counting the peas is an imagined landscape that can be continuously rearranged creating new versions of itself.
