Listen to the smell explores the taboo of privately associated smell of food and cooking in the public sphere. Passersby are confronted with the familiar yet pungent smell of onions; a scent that causes extreme reactions, both positive and negative. In addition to the smell, a recording of myself making the onion beading and crying is playing; adding a second layer of the taboo of emotions in the public sphere.
